Joshua Barsness as Danny Bishop
Joshua Barsness is a Minnesota native actor from Eagan. He earned his B.A. in Film Studies in 2012 from Augsburg College, having studied under Wesley Ellenwood. Since then he has been successfully building his acting career. He has acted and has done voice over work for numerous commercials. He has modeled for multiple businesses as well. Betta Fish is his second feature length screenplay.
Brent Myrand as Frank
My name is Brent Myrand. My background is mostly musical theater. I've been in Pippin, Cannibal! The Musical, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and High School Musical 1973. Since moving to the Twin Cities in 2014, I've been trying to transition to on-camera work, and I've done some commercials and a short film. This marks my first feature. I'm excited to work with everyone on BETTA FISH, and hope we can learn from each other, as well as have a lot of fun!
Ava Justin as Lisa Bishop
Most recently, Ava has been seen on several feature films currently playing on the National and International film festivals, You’ll spot her on the big screen side by side with Hollywood actors Brian White, Monica Calhoun, Loretta Devine and Sharon Reel on their feature film “No regrets” which just premiered in New York. Ava just wrapped up another great feature film playing a younger version of the very talented Hollywood actress Aurora Perrineau on the feature film “Virginia Minnesota”
Mike Bredon as Arthur Bishop
Mike Bredon studied under Greg Gasman & Gary Burger in the Northwoods of Minnesota. He has worked as an actor in several commercials, film and stage productions and is well- versed in modeling and voice over work. He is also well known for his work on the other side of the camera, where he enjoys directing and producing documentaries and feature films. Bredon is a fully faceted artist and always maintains variety and passion within his craft.
Mina Lavalier as Alex
Mina Lavalier is a commercial actor and model based in MN. She has a bachelor's in Theatre from Concordia University, St Paul, and considers herself very lucky to be able to make a living doing what she loves. You can also see her regularly on TV modeling for the home shopping network, Evine.
Gilbert Asuncion as Jazz Boss
Gilbert Fullon Asuncion was Born and raised in the Philippine islands, he then moved to the U.S in the early 90's. Developed a knack for singing old school music (crooning) and voice over which then eventually led to acting, some of he's recent roles in film was being a S.W.A.T on ABC's In An Instant and a gangster in a film entitled GUNN.
